Cranberry and Pecan Baked Brie
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place 2 ( if its a bigger crowd) brie cheese wheels rind trimmed into oven on a baking sheet or cast iron skillet ( if a single) into the oven, sprinkled with 1/4 c packed brown sugar per wheel.
Bake until softened 12-15 minutes – remove and cool for 5 minutes.
While cooling – combine in a sauce pan:
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp real honey
2 tbsp real maple syrup
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 + cinnamon
zest of orange
Bring to a frothy boil
Reduce heat and add:
1/2 c pecans/walnuts chopped
1/4 dried cranberries or I top with whole cooked cranberries
Top the warm brie with pecan/nut mixture and serve with crackers.
Definitely a crowd pleaser – I am generous with the maple syrup.
