Men Don’t Do Stress ?
To keep the men in our lives happy, healthy and admired some little discussed facts are useful.
Men are known to silently tolerate their stress levels or worse – are unaware they are experiencing symptoms of stress.
Men tend to ignore feelings of stress because some men believe part of being a man means you fix and solve problems or difficulties.
And if they cannot what does this mean about being a man?
This causes more or bigger stress!
Chronic stress changes personalities and amplifies the weak areas of the body.

Such as : clenched hands, nervous coughs, heartburn coughs, insomnia, irritability, excessive joking. dismissiveness, itchiness and rashes, squinty eyes, continuous frowning, flatulence, gambling, drinking, risk taking, fidgeting in a particular way, headaches, elevated blood pressure, arrhythmias, brain fog, loss of libido, nail biting, anger outbursts, overeating or undereating, particular cravings and many other signs.

- 77% of men polled have suffered with symptoms of common mental health conditions such as anxiety, stress or depression
- 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health including stress
- 29% of those say they are “too embarrassed” to speak about it, while 20% say there is a “negative stigma” on the issue
- The biggest cause of mental health issues in men’s lives are work (32%), their finances (31%) and their health (23%)
- 40% of men polled said it would take thoughts of suicide or self-harm to compel them to get professional help

To assist with stress:
Encourage or make a planned time to review life, the week, the day and goals – problem solving with someone may or may not be helpful however acknowledging issues creating a feeling of stress or lack of control and fears, is always a good first step.
